Psalm 119:4-6: “4 You have commanded that Your precepts be diligently kept. 5 If only my ways were committed to keeping Your statutes! 6 Then I would not be ashamed when I think about all Your commands.”
We’ve all been there. We’ve all felt unworthy to be in the Lord’s presence. I can remember many times standing in a worship service feeling ashamed to even sing praises to the Lord. But, we don’t have to stay that way. We can ask God to remind us what He thinks about us. We can store up truth in our lives through the power of the Scriptures.
David, the author of this Psalm, was a man after God’s own heart. And those were God’s words, not David’s. Yes, we’re going to have those days where we can’t do anything right, but we have to remember that we are children and heirs of the King. Through Him, we are more than conquerors. Make a commitment to memorize Scriptures that will serve as a reminder of who God is and how much He loves you.
