John 1:14: “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
The pendulum always swings. On one end, there so so much talk about grace, and the truth might be compromised. On the other end, truth is so heavily spoken that grace is forgotten. Look at what this verse says about Jesus: He is full of grace AND truth. They go hand in hand. When Jesus walked this earth, he was full of the father’s truth, but he showed grace to those who needed it.
Newsflash: ALL of us need his grace. None of us are filled with so much truth that we are exempt from receiving his grace.
We are called to imitate Christ and have the same attitude that he had. That means we must also be filled with grace AND truth. The Holy Spirit is inside each of us, giving us the ability to reach out to the lost with the mind and heart of Christ. Pray for God’s grace and truth to flow from your life and into the lives of others.
